Every
patient ages differently. There are many facelift techniques available that
address different needs. There is no 'one size fits all' procedure. Results are
tailored to each patient's specific needs and may include a brow lift and
eyelid surgery, as well as laser skin resurfacing for optimum results.
Depending on the patient, some techniques target the forehead area, while
others focus on the cheeks and neck area. There are also minimal incision
facelifts that are typically used for younger candidates, that may only show
signs of aging in a specific area.
When
considering a facelift, it is very important to consult a plastic surgeon who
is not only qualified and experienced in these procedures, but one that
combines the newest technology and skill with an artistic vision. This makes
all the difference in achieving natural looking results.
My
practice also specializes in revision and corrective facelifts. This
unfortunate situation is highly distressing for patients and often ends up
being more costly in the long run. A revision facelifts helps restore natural
looking beauty with techniques tailored to the needs of the patient. Revision
procedures typically address excessive scarring and a pulled, unnatural look.
In my practice, I am seeing an increase in patients who are unhappy with their
prior procedures; namely traditional facelifts performed with the old fashioned
techniques, and more recently, the slickly marketed and hyped lunch time
lifts. |
